What Cheese steak is to Philadelphia, Spaghetti Red is to Joplin, the City’s gift to the culinary world. The dish, a distinctive mash-up of chili and spaghetti, originated at Fred and Grover’s place, later to become Fred and Red’s, now a landmark and an institution in the Missouri Ozarks. Join me as I visit with an old friend over a plate of Spaghetti Red and hear about what he learned about the lunch counter from his Grandmother, one of the “ladies in white.”
To most Uncharted Regions is the latest endeavor from the creative mind of Neal Hallford, who has been involved in the computer gaming industry, novel writing, independent film and more. But to some, Uncharted Regions is the continuation of a dream spun from the minds of a couple of bored DJ’s at a sleepy Oklahoma Country and Western radio station. While we are working on new episodes for Season 2 of Within The realm, here’s a summer postcard! The episode is an encore presentation of a story from Season 1 about an important event in Protection, Kansas.
Even though we aren’t producing full episodes over the summer, we are still trying to build our audience. If you like one of our episodes, be sure to share it on facebook so others can find out about the podcast. This is a very grass roots effort, so we need your help to spread the word!
We are also on twitter at @realm_within and SoundCloud, iTunes, Stitcher and more. Enjoy the postcard. Don’t forget to give us a review and recommendation of iTunes or your favorite source for podcasts. Thanks for listening.

And I discuss the crossroads Within The Realm finds itself. Listen in….
