My Great Aunt proudly displayed an Aluminum Christmas Tree in her window when that was a thing, much to the chagrin of the more traditionally inclined members of the family. I thought it was great and missed the great silvery monstrosity once the fad fell out of favor. Although aluminum trees are making a comeback, you might be surprised what killed the trend in the first place!
